Aon approached Chess to provide enhancements to their new intranet, in time for an imminent move to their prestigious new offices. Chess quickly engaged with Aon to gain a detailed understanding of their requirements and business drivers through face-to-face workshops. Using our understanding of their requirements and in-depth knowledge of SharePoint 2013, a proposal was formulated that maximised usage of SharePoint’s in-built capabilities supplemented with bespoke developments.
To deliver the project we worked in closely with key Aon personnel across international locations using our Office 365 SharePoint Online Portal, Microsoft Lync and Visual Studio Online to aid collaboration. The project was managed using an agile methodology to prioritise work items and to provide Aon with frequent releases. This allowed us to work effectively to refine and adapt the solution during the project lifecycle, while staying within the constraints of budget and timescales. Our multi-layered approach to testing provided wide test coverage resulting in a high quality product.
The enhancements were released to Aon on time and successfully deployed to their production environment ready for their move to new offices.
